Youth Scholarships
The State Fair of Texas Scholarship Program is an investment in the future of Texas. Completed applications for 2012-2013 will be accepted after January 2, 2012 and must be postmarked no later than March 1, 2012.

Requirements:
- Compete in one of the State Fair of Texas Youth Livestock Show competitive events including Agricultural Public Speaking Contest, Agricultural Product Identification Contest, Agricultural Science Fair, 4-H/FFA Agricultural Mechanics Project Show and Tractor Restoration Contest, 4-H/FFA Dairy Judging Contest, 4-H/FFA Livestock Judging Contest, 4-H/FFA Range and Pasture Plant Identification Contest, Youth Market Beef Steer Show, Youth Prospect Steer Show, Youth Market Barrow Show, Youth Market Lamb Show, Youth Market Goat Show, Youth Market Broiler Show, Junior Breeding Gilt Show, Youth Dairy Goat Show, Junior Llama Show, Youth Beef Heifer Show, Youth Breeding Rabbit Show, Junior Boer Goat Show, Youth Dairy Cattle Show, Youth Breeding Sheep Show, Junior Longhorn Show, Junior Donkey Show or Youth Ranch Sorting Show. Preference given to exhibitors showing multiple years.
- Perform well scholastically. Preference given to applicants ranking in the top 25% of their class.
- Submit completed application, high school transcript (including verified ACT and/or SAT score, verified rank in graduating class and size of graduating class), and parents' IRS Form1040 (pages one and two) by deadline.
- Graduate from a Texas high school during the current application year and be accepted to agricultural-related curriculum or agricultural-benefiting natural science curriculum at an accredited college in Texas.
- Attend an accredited college or university in Texas and take 12 hours minimum per term. Your first year you must post a minimum 2.5 fall grade point average to receive the spring term funds. Renewals have been available to students maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
