Hall of State debuted in 1936 as part of the Texas Centennial Exhibition. Its original name was the State of Texas Building. Crafted from Texas limestone, The Hall of State was, at a cost of $1.2 million, the most expensive building per square foot built in Texas at the time. |

The Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House and Insectarium houses thousands of unique butterflies and insects in a natural environment designed to educate and entertain young and old alike. Texas Discovery Gardens' mission is to teach effective ways to restore, conserve and preserve nature in the urban environment, with a focus on gardening organically and sustainably. |

The Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park offers kids a chance to see sharks, jellyfish, eels, rays, piranhas, turtles, clown fish + other species from popular movies and books. The outdoor pavilion includes Stingray Bay. Daily feeding demos are also scheduled. |

The African American Museum is the only one of its kind in the Southwestern Region devoted to the preservation and display of African American artistic, cultural and historical materials. It has one of the largest African American Folk Art collections in the United States. |

Native sons killed or MIA are commemorated at the Texas Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The inscriptions include Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. Located in a contemplative spot near the front gates. |
| Perot Museum of Nature and Science at Fair Park features exhibits such as Mineral Majesty, Light Play and historical dioramas. Admission to the former Dallas Museum of Natural History is $1 for non-members and free for members. A ticket to the Perot Museum in Victory Park provides free access to Fair Park campus. |
