Heritage Hall Of Honor
New members to be inducted into Texas Heritage Hall of Honor in 2010
The fabric of Texas history contains many threads - political, social, military and economic - but none so basic, none so enduring as the story of the land itself. The Texas Heritage Hall of Honor recognizes men and women who have made significant contributions to the agricultural heritage of Texas. The program was established in 1992 as a biennial program. Every two years, nominees - living and deceased - are considered for induction.
Six prominent Texans have been selected for induction into the Texas Heritage Hall of Honor on September 24, opening day of the 2010 State Fair of Texas. The new inductees join 54 previously enshrined members.
This year's inductees are Tobin and Anne Armstrong, Susan Combs, Morgan Jones, Wade Lewis Pennington, and John Slaughter.
