Enjoy informative gardening sessions from the experts. All sessions are held in the Greenhouse on the Midway (located adjacent to the Texas Star®). Free with admission to the Fair.

| STEVE BENDER
Steve Bender is a Senior Writer for Southern Living and has been with the magazine since 1983. He received a B.A. in History from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland and a certificate in Ornamental Horticulture from the Institute of Applied Agriculture at the University of Maryland. He is a popular speaker and gives talks on a wide variety of gardening topics all over the country. His articles in Southern Living, which often poke fun at the foibles of gardeners, have won many writing awards. |

BUDDY LEE Robert (Buddy) Lee, the inventor of Encore Azalea®, the only azalea to bloom in spring, summer and fall, has more than 30 years’ experience in nursery management, breeding, propagation, and new plant development. His current role is Director of Plant Innovations at PDSI (Plant Development Services Inc.) in Loxley, Ala. PDSI, specializing in bringing new innovative plants to market, is responsible for both Encore Azalea and the new Southern Living™ Plant Collection, www.SouthernLivingPlants.com. |

JIMMY TURNER Since 2003, Jimmy Turner has been the Senior Director of Gardens for the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden. The Dallas Arboretum is in essence a 66 acre display garden planting over 500,000 bulbs each year for display and over 2.3 million bedding plants. They are considered one of the top 10 Display Gardens nationwide.

CHRIS WIESINGER Chris Wiesinger set out to recapture something that was once “lost” to the Southern gardener: bulbs that thrive in warm climates many of which are rare, heirloom or both. He founded The Southern Bulb Company to share his finds with the world. |
