NEED HELP?

INFORMATION

Six Information Centers, sponsored by MetroPCS, are located throughout the park with friendly State Fair experts on duty to answer questions and help with maps and directions.

SECURITY

Dallas police officers patrol the fairgrounds and surrounding areas on foot, by bicycle, on horseback, in golf carts and from elevated towers.  The Fair Park Police Station is located next to Guest Relations on the Midway.  The Dallas Mounted Patrol and K-9 units are headquartered year-round on Washington near the TXU Energy Arena.

FIRST AID

First Aid Stations are located in the Coliseum and adjacent to the Aquarium.  Police can call paramedics to other areas of the park when necessary.

SAFE KIDS CENTER

Children who have been separated from their parents are escorted by police officers to the Medical City Children’s Hospital Safe Kids Center located near the Midway Arch.  The center is staffed to look after the youngsters until a parent can reclaim them.

LOST & FOUND

“Lost & Found” is located in the Police Station near the Midway Arch.  Persons who find items should turn them over to a police officer, a building manager or one of the State Fair Information Centers.  Those looking for lost items should contact the Police Station.  Allow time for the lost items to reach the station.

TOO MUCH TO CARRY?

A checkroom is available near the entrance to Grand Place for those who don’t want to carry coats, cameras, purchases or Midway prizes.  The checkroom is open from 10 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and the charge is $4 per item.

WHEELCHAIRS & STROLLERS

Wheelchairs, electric carts and baby strollers can be rented from an independent concessionaire at two locations in Fair Park – the Pennsylvania pedestrian gate and the corner of First and Grand.   All of the rentals are available on a first-come basis, and no advance reservations are accepted.  The cost is $15 for a wheelchair, $10 for a single stroller, $15 for a double stroller, $15 for a wagon and $45 for an electric scooter.

RESTROOMS

The restrooms are fully accessible to persons with disabilities and have conveniences such as changing boards for babies.  Baby Care Stations, sponsored by Huggies, offer privacy and a quiet atmosphere for mom and baby at three locations: Hall of State lawn, Coliseum terrace, and adjacent to the Aquarium.

COUPONS

Coupons are used to pay for food and rides at the Fair.  Booths, located throughout the grounds, sell coupons for 50 cents each.  Bank of America ATM machines are also available (see map for locations).  Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard & American Express) are accepted at coupon booths.

BIG TEX GAME CARDS

Game debit cards are used for Midway games.  Booths located throughout the Midway sell the reloadable cards.  Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted.

 RIDE AROUND THE PARK

Trams circle Fair Park to serve those who would rather ride than walk.  The cost is $2 or four coupons.  These trams are equipped with hydraulic lifts for easy wheelchair access.  Other trams pick up Fairgoers in the parking lots and bring them to the entrance gates at no charge.  Seniors (age 60+) can ride the trams free of charge on Thursdays.

SOUVENIRS

Official State Fair Stores offer souvenir merchandise and gifts with official Big Tex® and State Fair of Texas® designs.  Locations:  Grand Place, Nimitz and Keating, Tower Building and the northwest corner of the Coliseum.

 WHERE TO PARK

Official State Fair parking is available for $10.  The Big Tex Express, a three-car DART train, connects the auxiliary parking lot to the heart of the park on the weekends.  It’s a free ride for fairgoers and the train is equipped with lifts for wheelchairs.  Train hours:  Sat. 10 a.m. – Midnight, Sun. 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.  For those who are interested, valet parking is available.  Enter at Grand Avenue or Parry-Haskell (Saturday & Sunday) and follow the attendant’s directions.  Service charge is $25.

The Ultimate Stunt Dog Show" - Pan American Arena; 1:30 p.m., "Jump! The Ultimate Stunt Dog Show"- Pan American Arena; 2:30 p.m., "Kroger Birds of the World" - Band Shell.  Interpretation is provided by the Deaf Action Center of Dallas.

GUEST RELATIONS

Fairgoers with questions or concerns are invited to visit the Guest Relations office, located near the Midway Arch and open during Midway operating hours.
