State Fair Cookbooks

State Fair guest Oprah Winfrey announces another prize awaiting Peter Clarc, far right. He was named Co-Winner in the Best of Best in Show with his chorizo dish; Dorothy Lacefield was co-winner for her lemon tart mousse pie. Their winning recipes will be published in the 2010 State Fair Cookbook.

The 2009 State Fair of Texas Cookbooks are available now for $30.00, payable with a check or money order. The walk-in price for a book is $25.00.  Winners listed in the cookbook were competitors during the 2008 State Fair of Texas.

Where is the Creative Arts Building?

The building sits on Adm. Nimitz Drive, with the Cotton Bowl on its 'back doorstep.' Ribbon winners in more than 1,100 categories, including canning, quilts, photography and crafts are artfully displayed in their 1,700 square foot home. Daily contests before live audiences and cooking demos are included in the mix.
