The State Fair of Texas is currently accepting scholarship applications for 2010.  Established in 1992, the program has awarded more than $2.3 million in new and renewed scholarships. 

Recipients are awarded a $5,000 grant, renewable in $1,250 annual increments if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA toward their college degree at a Texas university and/or Texas community college.

DISD graduating seniors from James Madison High School, Lincoln High School, North Dallas High School, Woodrow Wilson High School and Irma L. Rangel Young Women's Leadership School are eligible to apply if all requirements are met.

Young people from around the state who participate in State Fair livestock shows are eligible to submit their forms with certain applicable requirements.

Application forms and directions are downloadable to your computer, allowing you to fill in the form before it is printed or, if you prefer, use the button to make the form blank:  Print and complete it by typewriter or by hand.

Submit your application on paper and mail it (with the required supporting materials) to:

Earliest submission date is January 4, 2010.

Latest accepted postmark is March 1, 2010.
