State Fair of Texas Scholarship Program
   

The State Fair of Texas scholarship program has distributed more than $2.3 million in new and renewed scholarships since the program began in 1992.

Recipients are awarded a total of $5,000 in scholarships, renewable in $1,250 annual increments to those who maintain a 3.0 GPA toward their college degree at a Texas university and/or community college.

DISD graduating seniors from James Madison High School, Lincoln High School, North Dallas High School, Woodrow Wilson High School and Irma L. Rangel Young Women's Leadership school are eligible to apply if all requirements are met.

The Fair also offers scholarship assistance to young people from around the state who participate in State Fair livestock shows.  Certain eligibility requirements apply.

Scholarships have been awarded for 2009. Information regarding next year's program will be available in December, 2009.
